Hey all, I'm new to the mac community, I just purchased my first mac the other day after many recommendations from friends and family.
Anyway, the problem I'm having, is that I'm a little disappointed with the performance, when I click on my applications folder, it comes up as a slideshow - is fairly choppy. But mainly, it freezes up randomly, and fairly regularly. Especially coming out of sleep (it successfully comes out of sleep about 1 in 5 times, but then freezes shortly after logging back in). It was doing this immediately after purchasing it, so I did a format (7x erase) and clean install of mac/os. It was OK for a couple days but started acting up again. I've been attempting to decipher some of the things that come up on the console after freezing, but am having no luck - especially being brand new to mac computing. Anyway, I'm hoping for some assistance otherwise I'm taking this thing back and heading back to my PC, which is a shame because I do like my macbook when it works.

This is what I got when I turned on my macbook this morning.

It sounds like the Hard Drive may be faulty you should take it back and let them check it
out.
