Iphone ringtones, synced to my ipod.

Hello, i'm new to the Iphone world. I bought a 250 pack of ringtones from Itunes, and whenI synced them to my phone, they went to my ipod, not under sounds in settings to use for ringtones. What did I do wrong, or how can I fix this? Thanks

I am not sure about your exact problem, but I wanted to mention that there is a way in iTunes to legally make your own ringtones to sync to your phone using your own songs. I can post instructions if you are interested (sorry if this has been posted prior?).
