10.6 Preview app

I just upgraded to 10.6 and the preview app has been bothering be mainly because when I open up a picture in preview I can't adjust the size of the entire window, I cant make the window smaller by moving it horizontally...anyone know a solution to this? And if anyone can tell me another app that can be used to view pictures that would be great.

I've been using Xee for all of my picture viewing needs..
