I have a 24" Aluminum iMac (post september '07) and recently my internal HD failed. yay.

now, I need to replace it but I dont know what HD to get.

My current drive is 500GB, has a 32mb cache and transfer rate of 3GB/s

I was looking at a 1TB Caviar Black WD hard drive with 64mb cache and 6GB/s @ 7200 rpm

Will ANY 3.5" drive work??

THANKS

Not any 3.5" drive, it has to be SATA. The one you mentioned will be fine.
