Transmitting MacBook Pro Audio to a BT receiver?

Every day I sit down at my laptop and move a cable back and forth to connect the 1/8" jack to my sound board. Is there a way to transmit my MacBooks audio output through Bluetooth to a receiver that can be permanently connected to my sound board?

Might look at the advantages of an Airport Express its how I get my music ported over
to my HT wirelessly.
