Stop unarchive

Hi,

When I download a .zip file it automatically unarchives on completion. Which is a nice feature - except that I want to download a file and leave it zipped.
(Re-zipping it saves as a larger file for some reason.)

How can I temporarily disable this feature?

Although you didn't specify, I assume you are using Safari to download this file.

If that is the case, go into Safari's preferences and UNCHECK the "Open 'safe' files after downloading" box at the bottom of the "General" pane of the preferences. There ya go.
