RAM upgrade to avoid

if your deciding on upgrading your ram do not buy corsair from your local electronics store.... i purchased a corsair 8gb kit and got home to find out that it was not dual channel thus the sticks would not work together and had to fight with the store on returning it only 3 hours later since they seemed to think i was trying to return my old ram & had to show them that it didnt work by installing 3 brand new packages from their stock room that didnt work as well to no surprise

as ive heard and read through the forums go with crucial or OWC (what i used)

Jeremy most PC stores would not be aware of the differences between PC and Mac compatible memory alas. Use Mac specialist as advised.

i just added pny 4gb 1066mhz ddr3 ram to my macbook i just asked for notebook ram at staples it is working great but i guess next time i should let them know its a macbook

the place i went too has everything you could every imagine.... & the have a section for just apple products so they gave me the correct ram according to them & their stock.... but either way i wont go back there for apple products.... ill go back if i want to build a pc from scratch though
