Hello,
I have a macbook pro 13" with standard 4GB ram. I want to max out my machine and I think 8 GB is tops.
I found this for $70 after a $10 discount.
My machine is a 5.23 GHZ Core 2 duo with 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3...320GB HD...bought early 2009.

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Laptop Memory Model F3-8500CL7D-8GBSQ

There is also another one for more $$ and I can't tell the difference?
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Memory for Apple Model FA-8500CL7D-8GBSQ

I notice that this ram says 1066 and I saw the 1067 on my computer. Any difference? Is most ram the same and will this work fine with my computer you think?
thanks,
Micah

A 5.23 Ghz C2D, where can I get one of those? :)

Either will likely work, however, I'm hesitant any more to recommend the cheapest RAM you can find for Macs. Folks have problems often enough buying the least expensive sticks they can find, that is seems to me the extra $10-$20 could save some headaches.

Your best bet is to read the reviews there at Newegg, verifying that there have been no issues with them from those using them with their Macs.

good deal

I purchased the 8 gig g-skill memory two months ago and love it. Its great with no issues. Super fast. So fast I wanted a bigger harddrive so I purchased a 750 7200. There is no problem with this memory.

even if you bought ram that was 1600mhz.... it would be slowed down to 1067 by the computer its almost like buying playstaion games for an xbox..... so sdont pay more for the mhz of the ram because your only going to get 1066-1067 out of it
