That really seems to me a Display Port...

It is, but it could also be a combined mdp and lightpeak port. I'm sincerely hoping it is not, however, as that would mean Apple is once again using proprietary hardware designs. This would be AWFUL due to the simple fact that no current I/O peripherals will be supported and also because there are no replacement peripherals in the market yet.

I'm also going to venture a guess to say that any new peripherals such as external hard drives with LS ports, are going to cost us more than a USB3 device does.
