Hi,

I did a search and was not able to find an answer - hope I am not being repetitive.

I have a Macbook Air 2010 with a I-INC 28" Display and HDMI wire and a Mini Displayport to HDMI converter.

The resolution only works at 720p. When I select 1080i the image shudders and shakes and when I select 1080p the screen remain black - nothing at all (but the computer thinks the external is working)

I dont think the issue is with the hdmi cable as I plugged into my old Dell XPS and got 1920x1200 resolution without a problem.

Any suggestion? I have tried everything I know.

Thanks in advance,
Sam

are you sure your monitor can actually display 1080p?

alot of displays are advertised "HDMI" and only actually hit 720p or 1080i.

for instance, we have a fairly new Sony Bravia TV and it doesnt display 1080p.
