• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

imovie is driving me crazy (imovie '11) -- It sporatically works-- has anyone else had this issue:

Nothing is showing in imovie- meaning all of my iphoto images/movies are not appearing (they were yesteday) - I had this happen one other time.

What do I need to do to fix this? I can see they are there through "quicktime player" - but no imovie.

SOS help!

Jesse

how are you bringing them into the project? are you importing through the file menu?

if you are try changing the format of the problematic files.

thanks for your response--- unfortunately, the only way I can view these files is with quick player 10.

It won't allow me to import anything - I know the video's are there but they just are not being recognized by imovie -- any advice?

you can try encoding them with handbrake, and see if it accepts them that way.

my signature has a video with the link for the software in it.
