snow leapard

hi got a mac and upgraded it with snow leapard after a while went to put a wireless printer on but when i tried to go into system preferences it said it was a 5.2 and wont work with snow leapard so how do i get an update so i can open it thanks for any help

You don't unless the printer manufacturer releases drivers that are compatible. You'll want to contact them and find out.

hi its not the printer drivers they are allready in the snow leapard its when i try and open the preferences to get to the printer it wont open i thought when you upgrade to snow leapard that it upgades your programs as well

Upgrade to SL upgrades the OS, updates for programs and drivers etc are separate. They include updated drivers for printers etc but they can't always include all printer drivers. What printer have you got?

Also if you are getting an error message can you be a little more specific about when the error message appears and exactly what it says? It will help us to help you.

i thought when you upgrade to snow leapard that it upgades your programs as well

sorry i am getting it wrong i meant when i click on system preferences it wont open from the dock to get to printer & fax
