To start things off I am new to this whole Mac thing. I have an older Ibook Dual usb, and I was wondering if there is anyway to upgrade the CPU on this thing and if so where would be a good place to get one? The computer works great and I would love for it to just be a bit faster I'm not looking for something that is going to work like a brand new one because I know that will never happen. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Dual USB models started with the 500MHz G3 from memory which was released ten years ago in 2001, and the only thing you can do to speed it up is to sell it and look for an Intel machine, such as a MacBook if you want the convenience of a laptop.

There's really nothing you can do to speed up that iBook. The cpu's are soldered onto the logic board...and they are not upgradeable. About the only things you can do is upgrade the ram & the hard drive.
