Some websites, emails, and other files I've been viewing have been displaying fonts very oddly.

I've run Font Validation via Font Book. I have no errors, but there are a handful of minor warnings.

Can anyone recommend the best approach to rectifying this problem?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

What kind of thing? What are you actually seeing?
Sometimes there is one particular font to blame for one particular symptom, but it's specific, with letters showing as large upper case A's in Lucidia Grande.
For anything else I would recommend Fontnuke, which runs through and finds any font that can be causing issues.

Sorry, I thought I had posted a picture. See my revised post demonstrating the issue I'm having.

In the meantime, I'll give FontNuke a try! Thanks!

Well I managed to fix this. This is what I did:

I opened Font Book, and under Collection, I selected All Fonts.
Then, under the font list, I started scrolling when I noticed a few fonts had an orange triangle next them. I clicked one and the message said something like, "There are duplicate files for this font" or something, and "click on Resolve Duplicates to correct it". I gave that a try, and the orange triangle went away.

So I went through the all my fonts and did that for any of them that had an orange triangle. The problem seems to have gone away.

I hope that helps anyone else who may have the same issue.

Font Book is a much under used utility and essential for troubleshooting. Also if you use MS Office, run Validate Fonts to make sure all your fonts get the green tick of approval.
