I just went to the apple store today to drop off my mac and its going to be gone for a week. I have school papers that has been done in pages on my backup I didn't relize till I got home that my pc can't read .pages. Is there a way to convert these documents without a computer with pages on it?

yes. The .pages extension is actually a form of a zip file. You can change the extension from .pages to .zip Then you can unzip the file. Inside, there is a .pdf version of the document. From there you can just copy the text into a .doc file.

Hope that helps

This will convert the documents to .txt files, but I'm afraid that's about the best you're going to be able to hope for until you get access to a Mac with iWork installed on it.

Wow. I didn't know that! Excellent advice (and OP, please disregard my last post).

The other option is to send it to someone, maybe from here, who has Pages to convert it for you to .doc and send it back depending on how complicated the formatting is instead of using the PDF
