iBook memory question

Hi, I just recently am getting an older iBook 500 MHz snow model. What is the max memory I can install and what is the speed of memory will it take? :biohazard

20" iMac C2D 2.16ghz, 13" MacBook 2.0ghz, 60gb iPod vid, 1gb nano
It will take a max of 640 (128 built in and a 512 stick) of PC100 144-pin SO-DIMM

If you have the original ibook 500(the one before October 16, 2001,)
, then the max ram U can put in is 576mb (512+64mb sodered onto logic board)

How do I find out with one it is? The one I'm getting is the snow model
