Recently switched from PC to MAC. I do a small amount of image editing for logo designs for clothing at work. Most of this includes gathering graphics from the internet and adding arched text, etc.. for the graphics to be sent to an embroiderer etc...I was able to do most of my image editing with MS Word on PC however since I've switched to the MacBook Pro, I am having difficulty finding a free program that is simple enough for me to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
New to Mac, need some help!

G'day and welcome to the forums.
Suggest you try Office 2011 and see if that fits the bill. You can download a trial version and if you are happy with that go for the full program.

OpenOffice is a good subsitute for Mac Office 2011. If you can, you should get Mac Office 2011.

I used gimp on PC for years and I grabbed it for Mac right away when I switched over. It's no Photoshop replacement but if you're a hobbyist or something it is more than enough.
