I just picked up a 500gb Goflex external drive. I cant believe how small it is, amazing...

anyhow data transfer to my 2010 MBP seem a bit on the slow side...

there is an optional Firewire 800 adapter and a USB 3.0 available...

Ive been thinking of getting the firewire...

will it be plug and play on the MBP?

Plug and play yes for sure, so that would be fine.

I have the Firewire version and really like it. And, yes it is plug and play.
