I bought an external casing for one of my 40 gb hard drives so that I can store my music on it. The problem is that it tells me that I don't have permission to delete files or add files... When I try to add a file it tells me that "'files' cannot be modified." How do I set these permissions? Thanks

EDIT: I just remembered that windows is NTFS... do I need to reformat my drive to whatever mac is?

Seems so. If the drive was a Windows and the files are not needed, I would do this. Mount the drive in Finder. Finder, Applications. Utilities, Disk Utility. Erase disk.
