Hi,
i got a problem lately with my MBPro:
after a sleep mode, when i came back, my Touch Pad running strange:
- I can click (touching) only in the left part of the touching area,
- if i touch in the middle zone of TP, a scroll ball is appearing on the display
- if i click a tab from an explorer (firefox, chrome, or anything else), that tab will close instead of activate it
- i have to press the TP to perform a real click for sure,
etc
to avoid that, i have to restart my computer, and then everything is ok!
i beleive is something software, a setting or so which is bad.

if you have a hint for that, please let me know.

thx

Once I had a problem with my touchpad and it turned out that the reason was MagicPrefs which I installed because of the additional options for my magic mouse. Do you have that software on your mac?

this happened to me today in bootcamp on my windows partition. I came back from sleep and the trackpad was extremely slow and not very responsive. you would have to swipe your finger 3 or 4 times just to get the cursor to the other side of the screen. so i pulled up the bootcamp app in control panel and the trackpad options tab was gone. so i reboot the machine and it fixed it along with the trackpad options coming back.
