I reckon if they update the processor they may update the whole line of portables with it.

Should be interesting to see what processor Apple will use in its refresh of the MBP line which we may see sometime in March or April. But I'm not sure Apple is ready to refresh the Air as soon as June though.

...waiting=smart

Yes if you get the chance wait for the new MacBook air updates they are definitely going to happen.also another reason to wait is to see if they release it after Lion releases so you can get lion on it without having to buy the upgrAde. They are probally also going to update the iMacs to i5-i7 processors .

Hopefully 4gb of Ram standard...

The release of the current MacBook Air's was definitely a step in the right decision. My 13 inch Macbook Air is great but once it is getting to using it for processor intensive tasks it does not stand a chance.

I hope that the sandy bridge processors will improve the processor performance a lot and that 4gb of Ram will be standard which would definitely be good for Lion.

Btw: If somebody is interested in the MacBook Air review (11 inch) you can watch it here:

Holding out until the new MBA & Lion are out is exactly my plan, too. I'm too preoccupied with other things (finishing my house & relocating) anyway, so all my time and money is invested in that for the next few months. The MBA with a faster processor and Thunderbolt sounds exactly like what I would want: fast, portable, instant on, ...

Too many...
I will be waiting for this. Still waiting for something more portable, and my dad's HP is also showing signs of near-coming failure. We're going to need a computer at a time when I wouldn't purchase anything until the new MBP's are revealed next year.

I hope they put in a good processor in here, and don't skimp on power just to make the MBA more efficient.
