Will a G3 500mhz ibook run on a 10.4 OS X? I personally think it will lag up. What do you think?

iBook 12" G4, 30 GB, 768 MB RAM. iPod 5G 30GB.
my schools imac g3 128 ram runs fine (kinda laggy but not a whole lot). it has os x 10.4
