Hello there,

I am using Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro. At some point and time, I managed to accidently remove Downloads from the Places doc (when I double click on the macintosh drive icon, I see, Devices, Shared, Places). Now when I download items, it makes it a pain to find them.

Can anyone give me directions to add it back?

thanks.

1. Open a new Finder window (by double clicking the Macintosh HD icon, clicking the Finder icon at the very far left of the Dock or making the Finder the active application and choosing File>New Finder Window).

2. Navigate to your Downloads folder.

3. Drag it into the Places section in the Finder's sidebar.

You can also drag the Downloads folder into the Dock for even easier access. It may even already be in the Dock at the far right.

The same thing could happen to something in your Dock. The solution is the same.
