I am new to Mac... I just bought a new mini. When I synced my iPhone4 to the mini, my calendar stuff seemed to sync up, but it put my appointments 3 hours earlier than on the iPhone. I figured it was the time zone being off, but both the iPhone and the mini are set to the same time zone and DST settings.

What would cause this? I'm sure I am missing something simple.

I figured it out: I had set the time zone in my iPhone's General --> Date & Time menu, but it was still set to Cupertino in the Mail, Contacts, Calendar menu.
