g4 ibook 1.2/512 leopard, 2007 MacBook 2.0 c2d lion, 20" imac 1.8 cd , 2010 mac mini
i forgot to add the machine that is running 10.6 is a 2010 mac mini, so it has the intel processor, just trying to figure out why the op is wanting snow leopard instead of leopard, snow leopard is great but i really don't see much difference to leopard.

The price difference is HUGE. Snow Leopard is very cheap compared. Buying Leopard today, would be a waste of money unless for some reason you just felt the need to have it. 29 dollars for Snow Leopard makes it worth skipping Leopard completely.

upgrade to snow leopard

i checked my imac and it has got a dual core intel processor,it is the late 2007 imac 20" so will be able to run snow leopard.
the cost of leopard and snow leopard is the reason why i want to go straight to snow leopard (£85 as opposed to £22).

Im a little confused here as well If you look at the image the OS released with your iMac back in 2007 was Tiger 10.4.

Now the reason i say im confused is, you CANT repeat CANT put a earlier OS on a system than the one that was shipped with the Mac. You said in your OP it has 10.3 on it.
Now looking at the image you can see it was shipped with 10.4 so how can it have 10.3 on it ???
See why the confusion .....

Good thing though, if it is a 2007 20" iMac then you can put snow leopard on it . . . .

Have you all the facts right ??

PS I am just reiterating what others have said in previous posts . . . . . . . .

Cheers
