can't log into microsoft messenger mac

so i cannot log in. i'm using the right hotmail email and password. i can log into windows messenger on my pc but not microsoft messenger on the mac. what's going on?

the messenger for mac app is very buggy. all i can recommend is make sure its up to date. if that doesnt work, try uninstalling it then reinstalling it. if not:

its just so much better than messenger in every way.

+1 for Adium. It's what my wife and I use and it's very stable, never have any real trouble with it. You'll miss some of the features that Windows Live Messenger has... Though it also has several that WLM sorely lacks. But it's stable and much more reliable than Microsofts messenger for Mac...
