manage 10.4 clients on 10.6 server

I have my 10.6 server up and running, using open directory and active directory.

I can manage the 10.5 and 10.6 machines but i'm unable to control the 10.4 macbook. Is there something I am missing?

Define "control".

When a user logs in, I am unable to modify there dock, or any feature in the workgroup manager. but I am able to do this on the 10.5 and 10.6 machines. Aso just took notice to when your at the log-in screen on the 10.4 machines it says "some network accouts available" and on my other machines it says"network accounts available".
