I have a problem

I installed the software to develop iPhone apps, Xcore. I went thru and deleted it all because it was too much for me. Now my mac won't respond to anything I do, no keyboard commands, nothing. I have a disc in there, so I can't reboot from the disc. What do I do?! Please help!

What did you delete when you uninstalled Xcode? Did you use the included uninstaller or did you just delete the folder? By default, the developer tools are installed to the root directory (akin to the C: directory in Windows) and it is possible that you deleted something else (although if you did, you'd probably be seeing many more problems).

Can you use your mouse? If so, you can reboot while holding down the left mouse button to eject that disc.

My mouse will move, but I can't click, and I have no keyboard access. I deleted the folders. That was my thought too, I would be having more problems than what I am now.

What folder(s) did you delete?

Are you using a bluetooth mouse? If so, turn it off and back on again. I recently had a problem where my mouse would move and the right button worked but not the left. That did the trick.

I don't remember. I managed to eject the disk. I put in the OSX disk and told it to restore the HD from my backup drive. This should fix all of my problems, correct?

It may, but the best course may well be to re-install Xcore, and then run the uninstaller. Other than that a format and clean install of your OS.

I thought that was what I was doing, in a way. Because isn't it clearing the "Macintosh HD" and putting the backup on there?

When I got done, it said that the computer would redraft from the backup. When it is restarting, the wheel just keeps spinning, nothing else happens.

Try zapping the PRAM holding down Command, Option, P and R keys all together immediately after the chime. Keep held down until the third lot of shime sounds and release. Otherwise may be that format and clean install.
