- Two iMacs: 10.7.5 2010 Core i3, 8Gigs RAM, and a 10.7.5 2011 Core i7, 16 Gigs RAM with an SSD
I had to restore my iMac back to it's factory settings. I put the OS Disk in, and went into Disk Utility, and erased my Macintosh HD. After I did that, by user error (did it for I made a mistake), I clicked on Repair Disk. I then re-installed OS X.
Could I have done any damage to the HD by clicking on Repair Disk after I erased it? After the OS loaded, I clicked on Verify Disk and it checked out fine. The iMac seems to be working well, except for an occasional hiccup in Safari.
