10.6 wont update to 10.6.1 or 2 etc...

Does any one know why?

Not without knowing what happens when you try to update it.

K nevermind, I didn't realize I deleted the update file.

"Mac OS X Update Combined can't be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."

That is what it tells me when it asks where to install.

Try to download and install the combo update from the Apple website instead.

I did, I downloaded the whole 10.6.6 combo said the same thing.

Perhaps a clean install. How did you put SL on the machine ~ not by upgrading one trusts?

Your specs say 10.5.8. Do you have Leopard or Snow Leopard presently running on your Mac?

Yeppers, you must have purchased and installed 10.6 before you can update to 10.6.1 or 2 etc...
