Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate? 32bit or 64bit?

I'm not sure if this has been asked already...

The school I'm in offers licenses of Windows 7 Professional AND Ultimate alike. I want to know which version is better to run in Parallels 6 and whether I should get the 32bit or 64bit versions of them.

The use I'll be having for Windows would be to run Office Access, Visio and Project, Oracle g10 and also one of my professors says we'll need something for web servers.

What do you recommend? All help is appreciated.

I never used Parallels on OSX but I do have Win7 Ultimate 64Bit on my Bootcamp partition and it's the S---!

I searched for that thread and found it.

Since my MBP has 4GB of RAM I guess I'll stick with the 32bit version of Windows 7, unless there's a speed difference in favor of 64bit with 2GB allocated to Windows.

Not without access to more RAM. Given your system, 32-bit sounds like the right version. Cheers.

32 bit windows will only see 3 of the 4 gigs of ram.

If u buy the 64 bit the license works for both 32 and 64

If you buy the Windows 7 Home Premium edition it has both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions on a separate DVD in the box. You can install either under the same license but not both.
