Good morning all,
I have had a Mac Book for about 3yrs, which I only use for routine business stuff, e mails, spreadsheets etc.
In the last couple of months the hard drive has started running on it's own whilst I am not doing anything on the computer.
When this happens if I try to open a file or log on the web the computer is really slow.
I have tried to shut down, but again this takes minutes to do.
Having read other articles today on here, I checked the activity monitor and the CPU is fully red with system usage.
Is my hard drive about to fail, or is it another problem?
Thanks for your help with this.
PS I don't really know a great deal about computers except what I need to do on them.

Mike
