My Mac is saying that I only have 1GB of memory and it's preventing me from installing software that requires 2GB of free memory. I did a factory reset and still same problem. Any ideas?

Does it have more than 1GB of RAM and you're trying to say that the machine isn't recognizing it? Might be kind of a odd question, but if it only has 1GB, you won't be able to install something that requires 2GB, no matter how much you reset... What are your machine specs?

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Everywhere it is telling you 1GB. How much do you believe is installed? If there is more than that 1GB installed, first make sure it is correctly seated, and after that consider failed memory modules.
