Hey,

I've been trying to install w7 on my macbook pro (13") and every time I get to the preparing desktop for first time use it freezes.

This has probably happened to many people, but when I restart it says I have to reinstall windows.

Probably been an issue as well, but I tested a parallel desktop software and it installed w7 perfectly.

Does anyone know why it freezes, and do you have any tips for getting around it?

@koloson

Freezing as soon as the desktop appears in Windows is almost always due to an incorrect graphics driver or no graphics driver. Start Windows 7 in Safe Mode to see if it will start OK. (Hold down F8 key.) If you can get to the desktop that way, insert your Snow Leopard DVD and let it install drivers.
