I have done design work for years in PageMaker for PC, but converted to a Mac a couple of years ago. I do many of my designs now in Pages. But I am baffled by the color selection in Pages. Is there no way to choose Pantone colors for my designs? While the color selection in Pages is good, there are times when I need to match a color in someone's logo with a Pantone color. Any way to do that?

Pages is primarily a word processor but with the ability to do layout work in a fairly good fashion. If you're looking to mix and match Pantone colors you probably should look toward using software for desktop publishing. Which by the way, can be expensive. However, there are several apps for OS X which you might consider. Here's one:

iStudio Publisher $49.99 (full working trial available for download)

There are others depending on how much you wish to spend.

Sorry to hear you used pagemaker :) your best bet is a page layout program. CS5 is expensive but Scribus is open source and works great.
