GarageBand OUT OF MEMORY window

Good Day Folks, ilife issue

My Q's are
1/ when opening Garage band 4.0.0. (221) I get a (Out Of Memory) message window(141 gig available), and I can only quit the app with 'force quit'

2/ imovie 7.0.0. tells me it cant run on this OS 10.5.8

Do I have to go online to finalize a reinstall of the os, could this be why it doesn't work?

ive never encountered that problem. so i can only suggest things to do.

you could try reinstalling ilife too. however im not sure.

I can answer finally that with Up-dates after re-install it all seems hunky dory,
