Is Apple going to put out a new version of iWorks any time soon? Last version is '09. They skipped over '10.

I have '08 on my MBP. But can't find that copy (probably wouldn't work with Mac OS X 10.6 any how). And the only available version is '09. Should I wait a little longer?

I think there will be an Apple Keynote Conference in the next couple weeks to announce the iPad 2, my best guess would be February 9, and I think there's a good chance iWork '11 will be announced that day.

In any case it's about time for Apple to put out iWorks '11. They actually skipped over '10. Odd. Most software companies (or companies also producing software) don't skip a year.

When Apple does release iWorks '11 I'll most likely buy a copy. I needed a word processor for my new iMac. Was about to buy iWorks '09 today. But decided to download just Pages '09 last night for $20.00 CAD from the App Store. Good deal. I would be buying iWorks mainly for Pages any how. Have no use for Keynotes.

Microsoft Office for Windows: 2003, 2007, 2010
Microsoft Office for Mac: X (2001), 2004, 2008, 2011

iLife is somewhat of an exception, but Apple did skip 2007 and 2010. iWork '11 is the next logical upgrade, and hopefully will be announced soon. And hopefully it will include a notebook-type component to Pages or an app (similar to OneNote). Oh, wishful thinking.
