I have 522 selected tracks that will be burned onto a disc for a friend…but, since 522 songs take up about 4.22 +/- gigs of space, I would rather burn these to one disc, rather than…well…you get the idea. Can these tracks be ripped off the DVD after they've been burned to the DVD?

Thanks,

Chris H.

I cannot see why you won't be able to rip them from the DVD afterwards, it just implements the same burning technology onto a different type of media storage.

I'm not totally up to snuff when it comes to DVD technology…

Help me straighten this out…

DVD-R: recordable, right?
DVD-RW: recordable/rewritable?

Does it matter which I choose to burn 522 songs onto? Regardless, the tracks can be ripped off on another computer, right?

That's absolutely right yeah -R = Recordable -RW Re-Writeable.

It shouldn't matter which you use although sometimes RW can be finicky, also RWs can be a little more expensive.

Hope this helps :)
