problem installing ilife 11

so i managed to get a copy of ilife 11 but when i try to install it it says "the installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install". Why is this? could it be because i already have a copy of ilife 09 installed on my macbook pro?(my macbook came with it pre-installed) what do i do?

from my friend. he told me we can both use it since you dont need a license/key for any core mac apps

That would be a form of software piracy. And since we don't allow discussion of illegal activity on this forum, we're done here.

Buy your own copy and then if you have trouble installing it, you can get support readily.
