So I'm running IOS 10.4.11, if I buy Snow Leopard, (the $30 one) will it make the jump from 10.4.11 to whatever system number?

So long as your machine can support 10.6 you should have no problems there, the upgrade pack $30 option will work for you.

Whether or not your computer will support it is not the issue. Tiger legally can not be upgraded to Snow Leopard without purchasing the full boxed copy which is $125.00. Only Leopard can be upgraded for $29.

While you are calculating the cost of this upgrade seriously consider adding additional memory. The absolute minimum required is 1 GB it will run much more smoothly with additional memory.

Your machine can support SL ok, but I didn't realise as cschag has pointed out there are legal issues with doing it this way (thanks cschag), also as Slydude has pointed out a RAM upgrade will really help with running SL too.
