American Mcgee's Alice Problem

Trying to run American Mcgee's Alice on mac os x 10.6.6. The game opens fine, and plays the starting video of "Aspyr" and the other company logo, but then the screen just goes black. I can hear sound and if I scroll over things they make noise like the game is running.. but all I can see is a black screen that I have to force close out of.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
