Can't close it until one moderator merges the duplicate threads and another moves it to the appropriate forum. ;)

Hey guys! I'm thinking of getting a new lightbulb. But I heard that an updated lightbulb might be coming out this summer. Is this a good time to buy a lightbulb? I'm tired of sitting in the dark, but I'd rather keep using candles if a better lightbulb is coming out this summer. What should I do?

and my second favorite...

I think my lightbulb is getting too hot. After it's been on for a while, I've noticed that it seems to get really warm. It's really bright, and the heat doesn't seem to bother it, but I think something might be wrong. How hot should my lightbulb get?

I dropped my lamp in a sink full of water.
I wiped all the water off the surface of the bulb, and turned the lamp on, and it wouldn't even light up!
How much would it cost to fix it?
Is it covered under warranty?

It may help us if you could describe what is is that isn't working, the specs, and what you have tried to troubleshoot the problem.

I'm not an idiot. I already tried everything.

It's a 60 watt lightbulb, and it doesn't work. I tried shaking it. What else do you want to know?

Should I call Apple to see if they'll cover it under warranty?

I wasn't suggesting that you were an idiot, although others may think that you are :) but I'll assume that you've tried taking it out of the box, screwing it in, and flicking the light switch, so if shaking it didn't fix it, it could be time to give Apple a call and see.
By the way, when you say it doesn't work, do you mean that it doesn't light up at all, or it doesn't light up as much as others told you it does?

I have discovered that if you light a bulb at night , it will attract insects and bugs.
Can it also attract viruses ?

Cheers ... McBie

( This is getting silly )
