    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

You can stitch files together in ffmpegx. It really depends on what you are doing, I'm curious.

Ok, so you have 4 .vob files. Are they taken from a DVD source?
Can you tell me the individual size of the files, or the total size of all 4.
Also, what version Mac Os are you running (Leopard, Snow Leopard?)
Finally, what file format are you converting from in Handbrake?
The more info I have the more I can help, basically.

Ok, so 4 x 1GB VOB's?
That makes a dvd.
Put those 4 VOB's in a folder named VIDEO_TS, and burn them to a DVD. You should have a fully working DVD that way.
Be aware that discussion of downloaded material is often shunned because we can't discuss illegal activity. I will not point that finger here, but better to make you aware.

So you should have no need to convert at all.
You can open VIDEO_TS files in DVD player or VLC, and play the content from there, or burn to disc as I suggested.

you can join them into 1 continuous VOB segment with D-Vision3, but i doubt you need to do that for what you are trying to achieve.
