    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. Hi All

I am currently trying to make digital copies of all of my personal NTSC dvd's using the .mkv format. I am using a program called "HandBrake" which will take the .vob files and convert to .mkv. It was fast and worked pretty good except for the occasional frame of what looks like an interlacing issue. Any help to fix this issue would be great...

*please note attached image of frame with issue...

My Specs:

Macbook Pro 13"
2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 Gig Ram
OS 10.6.6

im not sure if it will work, but you could try doing "2 pass encoding" under the video tab. :)

The setting for "Slow" deinterlace needs to be set. It was very accurate for a FREE program!!!! I was able to rip and convert straight from the dvd. Any apps that can do this with bluray that you know about?
