as the title shows, this is a multiple question thread, hope it's in the right forum section.
1) my boyfriend has a one month old mid-2010 MacBook running 10.6.6 that's been having kernel panics back from sleep. I was out of town so I did a quick reading and told him to do the PRAM reset steps from apple docs. It kept happening. I got back home, ran Onyx. It's still happening.
2) Safari freezes when he tries to upload files that use the flash plugin (flickr, gmail)
3) I also read that the kernel panics could have something to do with the firmware. MacTracker says the latest EFI Firmware update is 2.0, but when I try to install it, there's a message saying the update is not supported by the system.
it took me 3 years to make him switch and now he keeps giving me "the look"
both the kernel panic log and the Safari log (from when I quit the Flash plug-in process in the Activity Monitor) are attached due to post length restrictions.
