Put the file in the extentions folder.
Select the printer in the chooser.
print a test page.

Maybe your printer may be defective. Yes, 1 green light should stay on.

Sounds more like a driver issue now. I reccomend downloading one from the apple site.

I don't have this printer, but I'll ask any way - Is it using AppleTalk or LocalTalk?

If local talk, download the software from Apple's Older Downloads site and install, then you should see it in the Chooser if the Extension is enabled.

If AppleTalk, be sure to open the AppleTalk Control Panel and select Ethernet, then it should show up in Chooser - may need the extension on this on also, dunno.

From personal experience, I picked up a CLW 12/600 and it had an IP I don't use on my network, and with no local talk cables I had to remember my OS9 knowledge and select Apple Talk (AT) Over Ethernet from the AT Control Panel and then it appeared in the Chooser, never checked on Extensions, there may be a generic LaserWriter extension for all LW's. Then I downloaded the CLW Print Utility from the Older DL site and viola, able to change the IP/update the name/etc...

Now I need to know where to find a new feeder roller assembly, but I'll save that for another thread.
