Macbook 13" (Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM) running OSX 10.5.8
Hi, I'm working off a Macbook 13" with OSX 10.5.8. Recent upgrades have left me in need of addition USB ports, and before running out and buying a hub, I wanted to see if there are any issues I might run into or things I should consider. I read somewhere that, if a hub is added, it should be used in the front built-in port (further from the screen)...

On an unrelated note, I have a firewire ipod cable that will charge my ipod but not display in on my computer. Solutions? Thanks :D

Welcome to the Mac Forums.

It doesn't matter which USB port you plug the hub into, just make sure that you buy a powered hub, not a static one. Static hubs do not work well if at all, and can actually cause problems.
