try to make this story short, im now using my 32" samsung lcd hdtv for my monitor on my powermac g4 digital audio. i have read articles on video cards and i think what i have is a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX Graphics Card. right now the picture looks great but everything could be better. i figured that my computer is old, believe 1999, therefore i might be able to upgrade the card. is this something i should spend the money on or just leave it as is ?

Yes on a DA it sure would be as the Rage 128 is the original ten year old card. Have a look on eBay and such for say an ATI Radeon 9000 series.

The 9200 model with 256MB of memory would be a huge boost. Silent and has no fan. Make sure you get an APG model as PCI cards are also available.

Well never said they are cheap ~ no Mac graphics card is which is why there are so many flashed PC cards sold on eBay and such.

Sorry to mislead you hotrod on the fans. Thinking more about this may have confused the 9600 with the 9200. Some 9200 came with fans, some with chipset cooling.
