Hi,
I just purchased a new Samsung 640GB 7200 RPM HDD. When I try to install the Leopard OS, my macbook doesn't recognize the new hard drive. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Do I need to return the hard drive cause it might be incompatible?

Pop in your Leopard disc and boot and hold down 'C'. Go into Utilities after selecting language, Disk Utility and format the drive Mac OS Extended (Journalled). Then back to the Installer and see if there is any joy.

Thanks for the quick reply. This might be a stupid question but is there a way to remove the mounting screws if you don't have the correct tool? Looks as if I will need a torque screwdriver but I don't have one that particular size.
