Hi,

I'll try to keep this story short.

Bought a Mac Pro Sep 25. Received Oct and change. Did not get set up so could access internet till early Jan. Had confirmed could upgrade to Office 2011 at no cost (confirmed prior to purchase). Did not confirm what version you can upgrade to.

I tried the upgrade on Jan 7, Microsoft did not allow. They indicate you had to have registered prior to Dec 31.

I'm just wondering what version of office 2011 were Mac Pro purchasers able to upgrade to. Home and student, or professional version (with outlook).

Second question. If you have home and student, can you upgrade to professional version if you wish at reduced cost.

thx,

Stuart

Moved to correct forum.

You need to contact MS Customer support and explain. In the past they have been generous to these types of situations. As far as upgrading the Home and Student to the Business version (there is no Office 2011 Pro version), I do believe there is a discount. But again, you need to contact MS to verify.
